Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why is my dog chewing his feet?
A. "Feet chewing" is often an
indication that your dog has an allergy. If he seems to nibble his toes
more during the spring and fall months, this can indicate a seasonal allergy.
See the May 2010 newsletter for more information about seasonal allergies,
or atopy.
Q: When do puppies need vaccinations and
how many do they get the first year?
A: Puppies usually begin vaccinations between 6 & 8 weeks of age.
They receive boosters every 4 weeks until they are at least sixteen
weeks old. After the initial series of boosters, they receive
vaccinations on average every one year.
